Alycia Kaback would like to congratulated Venus on the Relaunch of her line after four years. The former world No. 1 tennis player told journalists at Miami’s Bath Club that she was inspired by her love for ‘art and watercolour’, and has incorporated her own original prints into the Spring 2012 collection. In Miss Williams’ website description of her geometric prints, she cited Derek Lam and Cynthia Rowley as inspiration, hailing them ‘textile specialists’.

She has also added ‘unexpected extras’ into her designs, such as a small rose-gold metal charm which dangles from a selection of camisoles and tanks. One print, which features the phrase, ‘Oh and Oh’, is a play on the game’s scoring system.

April 16^th, 2012 was the day I knew my life was going to change.  I was given the opportunity to start my new career with The “IT” Factor with Alycia Kaback.  I always knew I had the potential to do great things with my personality and now it was finally here with scouting!!

By the end of my first day, I knew I had to be on my game and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me.  After a successful and exhausting first couple of days, I realized how much work this was going to be.  I’ve had enough jobs to know that I needed to listen and learn fast because in this industry you can’t let the grass grow under your feet!

In order to be successful in this business, you need help from every department in the company. Everyone needs to work as a team and look out for one another.  I found it refreshing to see how the employees interact with each other and have each other’s back (for lack of better words). I got to see firsthand how everyone chips in and does their part, including Alycia! 

From the first day I noticed how much respect Alycia has for her staff.  She is a savvy business woman without a doubt but even she realizes that she needs everyone’s help to maintain a successful and growing business.  She is no nonsense and wants the job done right, as she should.  Her diligence, discipline and loyalty to her career proves her record of success. 

The industry is competitive and cut throat but at the same time it can be thrilling and rewarding! The most exciting thing I’ve learned so far about the company is the process of how it all begins…from being scouted, to the open call, to the exit interview, to being signed and finally getting work.  Of course, it’s not that simple but that’s the essence of it. 

I have to mention Goldy, who absolutely blows the audience away with her straight-forward presentation during open call.  She tells it like it is and in this business that’s the only way.  You’re either in or you’re out!

I think of scouting as an adventure!  It makes me so happy knowing I’m giving someone the opportunity to make something of themselves.  Because as we all know, life can be difficult and mundane.  I am one of the lucky ones that can wake-up every morning and honestly say, “I have no idea what today will bring but whatever it is, it’s going to be sweeter than yesterday!”

The series follows the Irish-American Reagan family of police officers with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). Francis “Frank” Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the Police Commissioner. He was a U.S. Marine and a Vietnam veteran before he joined the NYPD. He is a widower who lost a son (Joe) “in-the-line-of-duty,” leaving him three remaining adult children—Danny, Erin, and Jamie.

Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is a top NYPD detective, holding the rank of Detective First Grade, but is sometimes hard-nosed and does not always go by the book. Danny is also a former Marine who saw combat in the Iraq War. Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is an assistant district attorney in Manhattan who prosecutes many of the criminals Danny arrests. Jamie (Will Estes), Frank’s youngest child, is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School and is a rookie officer on the police force after graduating from the police academy. Henry (Len Cariou) is Frank’s father and the former NYPD police commissioner, now retired. Henry served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Henry often provides advice to his son and grandchildren. The family is close-knit; each episode includes a scene wherein they all have dinner together with their spouses and children and discuss their current cases.

Frank’s middle son, Joseph, was an NYPD police detective who died in the line of duty. Joe was involved with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigating a group of dirty cops, who were operating within a fraternal organization called the “Blue Templar”. Joe was murdered by these dirty cops when his covert investigation into their corruption was getting too close.

A running thread through the first season is Jamie’s picking up Joe’s investigation. The FBI tried to recruit Jamie, but he instead conducted his own covert investigation into Joe’s death. Joe’s murderers try to kill Jamie by tampering with the brakes on his car, but fail. Jamie then informs his father Frank, his brother Danny, and his grandfather Henry about his suspicions after the attempt on his life.

Along with Erin, they join together and complete Joe’s investigation of the Blue Templar. After gathering sufficient evidence to obtain arrest warrants, Frank leads a team of police officers, including Danny and Jamie, and they arrest all the corrupt cops at a covert meeting while the dirty cops are dividing up stolen drug money. A detective named Sonny Malevsky (Michael T. Weiss), who was leading the gang of dirty cops, admits to killing Joe, but Malevsky commits suicide with his own service pistol after confessing to the murder.

Jamie was engaged to Sydney (Dylan Moore), a fellow Harvard graduate who broke off their engagement after he became a cop. Erin is divorced and has one teenage daughter, Nicki (Sami Gayle). Jamie’s field training officer is Sergeant Anthony Renzulli (Nicholas Turturro), who is tough but fair with Jamie and thinks Jamie has the potential to be a good police officer.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria on January 12, Washington was raised by his grandmother Beatrice, a devoted seamstress whose influence has impacted his life and career and continues to serve as his inspiration.

Washington takes pride in all of his creations and picks only the finest materials. He designs pieces that compliment and accentuate a woman’s body. He believes all women should try to look their best everyday and for Washington, that does not always mean following trends. “Fashion is about creating your own style, knowing what works for your body. This show room casting was great experience for the Kaback Models who attended.  Showroom modeling is when you go into a designer’s showroom and model dresses for the designer’s clients.   With showroom modeling, you have to have the “perfect measurements” so all sample pieces would fit you.  This is similar to fit modeling in that instance, Alycia Kaback is excited to see these girls get more jobs like this.  It’s very good for making some money because not everyone can do these types of jobs.
